I am currently on a journey to a more simplified life, from decluttering, to motherhood and generally taking thing back to basics to start enjoying the simpler things in life. I personally very rarely buy books these days, I usually get them as a gift for my birthday or Christmas or I get a lovely voucher that allows me to enjoy browsing endless books first. This Christmas I had heard of this book as I am a fan of Emily Ley’s products and so it was pre-ordered with a lovely Christmas present voucher. I do love a pre-order as when they arrive it feels like an extra present (it’s the little things in life).

Walk alongside Emily through each page of the book, working through her simple strategies toward your own goals as you simplify and make space for what matters most.
I really enjoyed this book and I wouldn’t say that often about a non-fiction book. I found it extremely easy to read. Each chapter can be read as exclusively from the others which makes it easy to referer back to if implementing any of her tips or great for those that want to simplify step by step. Emily Ley gives easy to implement ideas that make you feel like you can make huge strides towards a simplified life in no time.
This book is not just about decluttering, it is about simplifying many aspects of your life from finances to technology and others in between. A lot of her ideas are about simplifying life to enjoy life and add memories rather than things. She is a mum so the focus of the book is about family and there is a chapter on motherhood but I do feel like anyone could get something from it.
I would recommend this book for anyone who is looking for someone to guide them on the start of their journey to a simpler life.
